چکیده
Background Rheumatoid factor (RF) has been detected in several patients with psoriatic arthritis (PS). It is likely that its positivity linked to a very specific clinical, biological and/or evolutionary profile of PsA. Objectives The objective our study was evaluate the frequency positive rheumatoid during PsA, and define characteristics factors related this positivity. Methods Monocentric observational cross-sectional including 84 fulfilling CASPAR criteria, hospitalized rheumatology department University Hospital Hassan II Fez, on period lying between January 2012 October 2021. A threshold greater than 20Ui/ml defines RF Results Our included patients, average age 57 +/- 13 years. sex ratio 0.35 M/F, duration disease progression 6 years 8 47.6% had (40 patients) while 52.4% negative (44 patients). In bivariate analysis, PsA an earlier onset (p=0.017), more frequent chronic smokers (p=0.045), showed enthesis damage (p=0.046). Also, higher inflammatory syndrome (p=0.013) particular CRP (p=0.007), Basdai DAPSA (p=0.021) respectively multivariate involvement significantly (p=0.039, OR=3, IC=1.059-8.495), as (p=0.010, OR=3.875, IC=1.382 -10.766). Conclusion study, found be severe comparison RF, frequently adopts peripheral enthesitic form. Comparing bone mineral density in rheumatoid arthritis and psoriatic arthritis
Background: Changes in patients’ bone mineral density (BMD) is one of the problems in patients with rheumatoid arthritis, which can be due to the use of corticosteroid drugs to reduce patients' symptoms or due to the aging process in patients. In this study, we decided to compare BMD in patients with psoriatic arthritis and rheumatoid arthritis. Methods: This study as a cross-sectional descrip...

Psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory proliferative disorder of the skin that appears in many different forms and affect different parts of the body including the nails and joints. It may affect the quality of life by causing psychosocial stress. Psoriatic arthritis is a seronegative spondyloarthropathy with involvement of axial and peripheral joints. متن کاملTHE CONCEPT OF PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS (PsA)
There is no doubt that inflammatory arthritis/enthesitis and psoriasis coexist more frequently than would be expected by chance: for instance, in a study of 1285 patients with psoriasis seen in an hospital, 483 (38%) were suffering from arthritis/enthesitis, including 40 patients classified as Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) (3%), 177 (14%) as undifferentiated arthritis (UA), and 266 (21%) as Psoriat...
متن کاملFrequency and Accuracy of Anti-Citrullinated Protein Antibodies, Prognostic Evaluation in Overall Developing to Erosive Disease in Patients with Psoriatic Seronegative Osteoarthropathy
Anti-cyclic peptide antibodies (CCP/ACPA) are directed towards synthetic citrullinated peptides and are specific markers in diagnosis of Rheumatoid arthritis. This study aimed to compare the values and acuracy of the test in anticyclic citrullinated peptides (Anti-CCP /ACPA) antibodies, rheumatoid factor (RF), C-reactive protein (CRP) and disease activity index (PASI) in early diagnosis of untr...

BACKGROUND To investigate whether a modified Rheumatoid Arthritis Disease Activity Index-5 could be applied as a routine assessment tool for psoriatic arthritis (PsA) patients. METHODS Ninety-seven PsA outpatients (mean age 49.78 years; age range 23-80 years; 49 male, 48 female), completed a prototype questionnaire. Tender and swollen joint counts, including enthesiopathy, physician's assessm...
